Zion sat at a table, alone. He was eating a few muffins and taking sips of his latte.

    ~ Diana entered the shop, a blue satchel slung across her body. She sat at a table and looked over the coffie menue, deciding what to get.

    ~ Diana looke around. Realizing the boy had spoken to her, she nodded politely back to him.

Zion dismissed the fact she didn't speak to him and said, "I haven't seen you around camp. What's your name?"

    ~ With swift, almost reflex-like, movements, Diana pulled a notepad and pen out of her bag. She wrote her name on the paper, tore it out, folded it into an airplane and expertly tossed it to his table. The airplane glided through the air and genlty knocked into his coffie cup.

He picked up the paper and read it. "Ah, nice to meet you, Diana," Zion grinned.

He handed Diana a muffin and smiled. "Excuse my rudeness," Zion began, "but why don't you speak?"

    ~ Diana sat for a moment, trying to decide how to answer. Finally she simply wrote "long story, I don't like talking about it" on her paper and handing it to him.

Zion took the paper and read it. "Ah, sorry for asking," He apologized. "What do you like to do?"

    ~ Diana thought for a moment. She hadn't figured on him actually offering to take her anywhere. She began to wonder if it were a trick. "Maybe another time" she wrote, trying to stay polite.

    ~ Again Zion surprised Diana. She had kind of expected him to argue or try to convince her. She found that she actually liked talking to him, which was new for her. "Could you explain what Cohorts are?" she wrote, both because she was corious, and also to keep the conversation going.

Zion, taking a drink, read the note. "Ah, cohorts," He began, "They're basically a group of Demi-gods sent to the cohort that best fit it's...umm, I guess you could say standards," He said. "1st Cohort's leaders are nice and mean, for example, so they get a variety of Demi-gods with different personalities. All in all, cohorts are equal, no matter who their members are, skill, or anything of the sort," Zion concluded. "Sorry for rambling," He laughed.
